Rodent Problem Solved in Newton Abbot

A customer in Newton Abbot contacted us after struggling with a persistent rodent problem. Our task was to identify how rodents were entering their property and provide a long-lasting solution.

Our Investigation
We carried out a full CCTV drain survey, which revealed several issues:

• Multiple open joints

• Disused junctions providing easy entry points

• A damaged gully pot with a large hole allowing access from outside

The Solution
After presenting our findings and quotation, the customer immediately gave us the go-ahead. We acted quickly to seal all rodent entry points using silicate structural patch liners. These liners can be installed in less than an hour directly from an external manhole — meaning no messy excavations or disruption for the customer.

Additional Repairs
During the survey, we also identified a section of deformed pitch fibre pipework that had reached the end of its serviceable life. With the customer’s approval, we replaced and fully repaired a 7-metre section of pipework while on site.

The Result
All work was completed the same day, leaving the customer with a fully restored, free-flowing, and rodent-proof drainage system. They were delighted with the swift, professional service and the peace of mind that their rodent problem was resolved for good.
